這兩者均可譯為“出席”,但含義上有區(qū)別：
attend指“人”去了, attend to則進(jìn)一步指“心”去了,介詞to在這里指“集中注意力于…”
l He attended school, but didn't attend to his lessons.
他去上學(xué),但不把功課放在心上。
? attend on, attend to
這兩個(gè)短語的區(qū)別是：
1. attend to是“照料”的意思, attend on是“侍候”的意思。
介詞to表示對象,而on則進(jìn)一步表示目的,含有使其滿意的意味。
2.attend on的賓語只是人, attend to的賓語可以是人,也可以是物。
